Alessandra Young is the Owner, Principal Practitioner, and Solopreneur of Retreatment Wellness. She received a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture & Traditional Oriental (East Asian) Medicine, graduating Cum Laude from Emperor’s College in Santa Monica, CA. Her education here included advanced training in Ear Acupuncture aka Auricular Acupuncture for the treatment of Pain, Anxiety, and Addiction; and, an externship at The Roy and Patricia Disney Cancer Center / Providence Hospital in Burbank, CA.

Alessandra has experience in “integrative healthcare” as a former clinician at the Disney Cancer Center / Providence Hospital where she studied under Dr. Robert Chu, D.Ac., PhD. learning Master Tung style acupuncture and providing support for cancer survivors and their families.

Alessandra furthered her education and training by attaining a Doctoral Degree from Pacific College of Health and Sciences in San Diego, CA. This program curriculum is focused on Integrative Healthcare with advanced training in Western diagnostics and research.

Prior to moving to Salt Lake City, she was a clinician at The Clinic for Pain & Anxiety in Beverly Hills, CA. She also practiced onboard the Luxury Cruise Ship - Crystal Symphony, traveling from Hong Kong to Korea, Japan, Russia, Alaska, and British Columbia.

In 2020 she moved to Salt Lake City and was a practitioner at Flow Acupuncture & Apothecary, which was voted Best Acupuncture Clinic in Utah in 2020, 2021 & 2022.

In May 2022, Alessandra created Retreatment Wellness to offer health + beauty treatments that highlight her advanced training in Traditional East Asian Medicine (TEAM) and to incorporate modern technologies that are founded upon the wisdom of TEAM. With Retreatment Wellness, she has created a serene environment where patients enjoy bespoke, one-on-one treatments that address concerns of the body, mind, and spirit.

Alessandra is currently pursuing a Diplomate for TCM Dermatology and studying advanced herb formulation for the treatment of complex dermatological conditions with Mazin Al-Khafaji, the creator of Dermatology M products. This is a highly specialized course of study to learn medical pharmacognosy applied to complex disorders of the skin and general health. Because many skin diseases are auto-immune in nature, this coursework is also providing advanced training in the treatment of auto-immune disorders.

Alessandra uses Cosmetic Acupuncture to lift the cheeks, eyebrows and jowls, sculpt cheekbones, soften naso-labial folds, lighten dark eye circles, fade age spots, relax furrows around the eyes, and so much more! She is excited to bring this specialized service to the community because it provides comprehensive healthcare while also addressing esthetic concerns.
